BSE is bringing in a new view on slag door operation with our latest development, the DoorMan®.
Combining safety with efficiency while getting rid of additional tools in front of the furnace, the DoorMan® solves many of the typical problems of a modern EAF operation: Maximizing closed-door operation time, improving slag management and protecting the refractory from accidential cleaning damages. All this is done in synchronization with the tapping process - without additional downtime and delays.
On top of that, a compact design offers unobstrucded access for temperature checks and sampling by manipulators and robotic solutions!
This is the next consequent step to further improving EAF efficiency and applying a ‘manless operation’ for high safety standards.
